HAIRSTYLIST IN ABU DHABI

COMMERCIAL  |  EDITORIAL  |  LUXURY BRIDAL

I’m Corrie Elle, a hairstylist and makeup artist with more than a decade of experience in the Emirates and a background in New York and Toronto. In Abu Dhabi, my hair work covers the full range: soft, polished styles for corporate portraits and conference stages, sculpted updos for gala evenings, and bridal hair that has to last from the nikah to the end of the reception. Many events here are long, formal and photographed from every angle, so I build each style to look as neat in the last photo as in the first. I travel to you anywhere in the capital with my full hair kit. If you’d also like makeup, I can do both in a single booking.

  • Classic and modern updos: chignons, low buns and sculpted twists for weddings and black-tie galas, finished so they look clean from the back, where most photos are taken.
  • Soft waves and Hollywood glam: long, defined waves for receptions, red-carpet events and evening portraits.
  • Half-up styles: a balance of volume and structure, popular with brides and bridesmaids who want to keep length on show.
  • Sleek, polished looks: smooth blow-dries and low ponytails for business portraits, panel discussions and on-camera interviews.
  • Editorial and campaign hair: looks created to a brief, from natural texture to strong, graphic shapes for fashion and advertising.

Many weddings and celebrations in Abu Dhabi include a women-only reception. Guests who wear a hijab for the ceremony or the journey often take it off once they arrive. I style hair so it travels well under a hijab and opens up into a finished look at the venue, without being flattened or creased. If you’ll be changing between a covered and an uncovered look during the day, tell me when you book. I’ll plan the style, and if needed a quick refresh, around those moments.

Abu Dhabi weddings often mean hair for the bride, her mother, sisters, cousins and close friends, all at one location and all needing to be ready at the same time. I build a timed schedule that works back from your departure or first photo and puts the bride last, so her hair is the freshest. Each person gets a set slot, so nobody waits around and the morning stays calm. For larger groups, I can bring a trusted assistant so the timing still works.

Hair that looks fine in a mirror can look different under stage lighting, on a 4K screen or in a high-resolution portrait. For conference speakers and presenters, I keep styles secure around headset microphones and earpieces, and away from the face on camera. For photo and video shoots, I control flyaways and frizz that the camera picks up, and I stay on set to keep the hair consistent between takes and outfit changes. On outdoor locations, from the beaches to the desert, I set styles to cope with wind and long hours in the sun.
